The red capped Tulip Red Riding Hood shouldn't be alone in the forest. This sweet little tulip is coloured in carmine on the outside while the inside is scarlet red with a black center. Absolutely stunning in early spring and lovely to combine with grape hyacinths. The purple striped leaves give her an extra touch. Due to the strong characteristics of Tulip Red Riding Hood she won the Award of Garden Merit by the RHS. Introduced in 1953.
